Let's Get Creative!

*Link heavy*

Hello again,
So I haven't been shooting anything lately but I am hoping to soon. In the meantime though I have been looking on Etsy for inspiration and I would just like to share some links with you of some of my favourite finds of today.

First off I started with a search of moustache, I know that seems strange but for some reason the things people come up with are just so interesting.
The first site is owned by SV Jewllery it has quite a selection of cut necklaces of various things, I couldn't pick just one thing from this shop so I gave you the link to the whole shop.

Next is a shop called Yummy Pocket The link takes you to a moustache in a bottle, I thought that was a pretty funny idea, however check out the whole shop cause it has some other funny ipod/iphone cases to look at.

Next I looked up nintendo and found this a nintendo controller laptop case as well at this person's shop there are hoodie phone cases that look neat.

This artist also works in acrylic but most of their stuff were rings Here is the link to a "Diamond" ring. The person's other work is also pretty cool but I thought those were the funniest and kind of want one myself

After that I thought to look at crochet patterns, I've been thinking about what new ones I might want to try and build my skill to make the ones I want to create myself so here were a few inspirations.
This Guitar looks very real and so do a few of the person's other items if you take a look. I definitely think I want to either buy this pattern or make my own if I can.

Chonticha just had a bunch of  very realistic looking cartoon characters in made in crochet, both large and small projects. I think "Stitch" and his gang and "Goofy" are my favourites.

This was a cool bike  that some one made.

And lastly I found Some ANGRY BIRDS

That was all for now. I am fairly inspired now so I am think I  might go make some more christmas ornaments for the guild.
Have a Happy Halloween

Tis the Season- Tree Ornaments

Hello,
So at the quilt retreat this year our theme was Christmas in September, well as our challenge per say we were asked to make tree ornaments because we were entering a tree at the base for auction in December.  Yesterday at the meeting it was announced that we still needed more ornaments so I got to work today and here is what I made:

Along with these ones there are 3 I didn't photograph, another star but in purple trimmed in fuzzy white, and 2 flowers that were in my stash and were much to large for anything I normally do so they became ornaments as well.
As well here is an image I drew up a while a go that I really like:

I hope you like, and I hope you are all keeping warm in this cold weather.
Till next time

Lost Your Way

Hello,
I realized looking at my post with my brother that I had actually forgot 2 of my favourite images from my shoot the other day.
Here they are:

These images are based off a picture I saw a while ago and it just so happened that my friend had
a really old looking key at her house, so we brought it along and voila.

The first image below is of the beautiful location we shot at on a conservation in the area of my home town and the second is a similar location I would like to shoot at in the future.

I hope you enjoy them and later this week I will be posting an image of the quilt I made during my retreat I just need some help holding it so it can be photographed.

Fall Fashion

****Warning: Photo Heavy****

Hello,
As promised here are the images from my fall fashion shoot I did today with a friend. We both modelled and I must say I think that we did really well with what we had, i.e. no lighting but the sun. It was very cool and originally I was a little nervous, I haven't really done many fashion shoots especially on location and I must say it went with out a hitch for the most part, only a few people walked through the shoot and it tended to be when we weren't shooting. And there were a few wardrobe changes after we had decided what was going to be what.
With out further adieu I present the pictures (with a bit of editing)

I hope you enjoy them.

Ready. Set. Shoot.

Hello again,
The locations have been scouted, the wardrobe planned and now tomorrow bright and early I go out to shoot my fall fashion. I am quite excited. I find the scenery beautiful in the locations I chose and I am hoping just enough of fall will show through without there being bare trees in the image.
Till then though I would love to share a great craft site with you it's called Etsy and it has some very cute things on there, tomorrow if I get some time I will share a quirky camera necklace I found in one of the shops. As well the site is great for crochet patterns as well if you search for them.
Till Tomorrow.

Retreat

Hello,
Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I was on a 3 day quilting retreat with the guild I belong to. I was able thankfully to complete an entire quilt while there (pictures will be posted at a later date). My time there was complete fun, I enjoyed the company of my fellow quilters and got to see how I will probably act with my best friend when I get a little older.
Because of this I haven't really been posting anything or taking any pictures, I actually have been in a picture down time. But that is all about to change. Tomorrow I go meet with a friend to start planning a fashion shoot, and hopefully we will get to shooting later this week, otherwise it will be after the thanksgiving weekend. More about that later I guess. But to tied my time till then I have been editing and I wanted to show you some of the pictures I have done, I have gotten interested in the before and after work as well so let me know what you think.

These are just a few edits I have done with nature pictures I've taken, I am hoping that I can get some volunteers and I am going to do some head shot before and afters, natural looking and extreme.
Till then have a great weekend.
